Haj Pilgrims by gender
This dataset contains the number of Haj pilgrims by gender from the year 2005 to 2020.
Dataset Description: (i) In 2009, there was a decline in the number of Haj pilgrims due to the restriction imposed to prevent the spreading of Influenza A (H1N1).
(ii) Since 2012, the quota for Bruneian haj pilgrims has been limited to only 10% of the population (400 pilgrims) due to the construction work of upgrading Masjidil Haram in Mekkah Al-Mukarramah and Masjid Nabawi in Madinah Al-Munawwarah.
(iii) In 2020, there was no Haj Pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam due to the CoVid-19 pandemic.
